Annual Accounts

The year-end financial statements that present a company's financial position and performance.

Under Swiss law they comprise three parts:

  • Balance sheet: assets, liabilities and equity at the closing date.
  • Income statement: revenue and expenses over the financial year.
  • Notes to the accounts: the explanations and disclosures required by law.

Larger companies must add a cash flow statement and a management report. The accounts are approved by the shareholders' meeting and form the starting point for the tax return.
